Introducing the incredible Percival Library at leading boarding school Clifton College in Bristol, photo courtesy of Clifton College. To our minds this Victorian Gothic structure is one of the most beautiful libraries joining Trinity College Library in Ireland, Raza Library in India and Mohammed Bin Rashid Library Foundation in the UAE.
Architect Charles Hanson completed Percival Library in the 1870s. Under a historic vaulted roof, it now boasts modern multi-media facilities, housing 15,000 fiction, non-fiction, reference books, periodicals, newspapers, DVDs, graphic novels and eBooks.
The library holds literary events for the students such as book fairs and talks by celebrated authors. It even has its own Twitter page. What a phenomenal learning environment.
